EvoPet: A Virtual Pet Game with Strategic Card Play
EvoPet is a virtual pet game developed by Jamie Ford for Android users. It is a spiritual successor to the original VPet devices from the 90s. The game revolves around hatching and collecting multiple pet monsters, raising and training them, and achieving a Mega evolution. With over 160 cards, 50 foods, 20 environments, and 75 monsters, players can discover various deck combinations and build their strategies through unique card-play battling systems.
One of the game's significant features is the pet evolution system, where players unlock an expansive evolution tree of pet monsters through successive generational evolution. This offers endless leveling with compounding stats. Players can discover numerous foods and environments that influence monster progression, and unlock and collect cards to build their strategy. The game also offers co-op and PvP multiplayer on local Wi-Fi networks, allowing players to play alone or battle with and against friends through local multiplayer.
EvoPet has three training mini-games and no freemium content or ads. Players can purchase the game once to unlock its full potential, which includes having up to seven monsters at a time, unlocking higher-level tournaments, getting a pro dark theme for the game, and accessing the endgame card buyback feature to support the developer, who is just one guy.
